'' Winter Gardens ''

Oil on canvas

21 x 25 in (54cm x 64 cm) framed approx

A beautiful 1960's oil on canvas by Scottish artist Kenneth Roberts depicting a snow covered winter landscape with figures walking and a dog.

The work is inscribed ''Winter Gardens '' on the reverse and is believed to depict Union Terrace Gardens in Aberdeen, looking towards Union Street, showing Trinity Hall to the left of the bridge.

A very interesting and excellent quality work by this important and rare 20th century Scottish artist. Signed with initials and dated '66 lower right.

The work is further inscribed with the artist's name and the title on the reverse and there is also an old exhibition number '' 1438 ''. A fine and most interesting painting.

Very clean condition, presented in a good quality period frame.
