A very beautiful oil on canvas laid on board impressionist portrait of a nude lady holding an oval looking glass, by the British artist and illustrator Frank Haseler. The stylish work is very well painted and presented in a fine swept frame. Signed and dated 88 lower right. From a private collection in London.

Excellent condition, very clean and with no sign of damage or restoration. Beautifully framed and ready to hang.
Artist information:
Frank Haseler was a successful artist and illustrator from the mid 20th century onward. Living most of his working life in London, Haseler was a painter in oils and watercolours, exhibiting widely across the UK and Europe. His nude portraits of ladies in various poses are today considered his finest work, although they rarely appear on the secondary market. As an illustrator Haseler was represented by Allied Artists and created images for many well known publications.
