Maurice Ghiglion-Green was born on 8 November 1913 in Cannes (Alpes Maritimes).
A former croupier and self-taught artist, he began to paint in 1948 and then devoted himself exclusively to his art from 1952.
He exhibited as early as 1955 in France, Switzerland, England, the United States. His paintings were sold through many leading galleries, including Arthur Tooth & Sons (London), Wilton Gallery (London) and Gallery Charpentier (Paris).
Ghiglion-Green paintings continue to be popular and regularly appear at the most prestogious auction houses, including Sotheby's and Christie's.
