A rare Victorian Ede & Ravenscroft full length judges wig and original toleware wig tin.
The tin is marked MR JUSTICE MILES in gilt lettering. It would be interesting to find out more about the judge and his career.
The wig is hand made from horse hair and in excellent condition.
The tin is scratched and slightly dented at the bottom, but is fully servicable with working hinges.
The wig stand unscrews and free stands for display if required.
There is also a calico dust cover which protects the wig whilst it is in the tin.
An interesting and decorative item which would have cost the modern day equivalent of many thousands of pounds when new.
