A very interesting indistinctly signed and dated 1847 oil on mahogany panel depicting a piper entertaining locals outside William Pengelly's tavern. Probably Cornish as Pengelly is a name of Cornish descent and this is the name on the trade sign above the entrance. Signed lower left ''... Walker? pinxt 1847 ''
