Description:

A very fine 19th century oil on canvas depicting a terrier dog with a violin and other objects by Charles Dudley. Presented in its original swept gilt frame with inscribed slip. Signed lower right.

This work was sold at Christie's, London, 28th March 1996, as part of the Count Alarico Palmieri Collection of Dogs and Cats in Art., Lot # 6.

Condition:

The painting is in excellent condition having been relined and conserved in the mid 20th century. The frame has some small losses.
