Arthur Bentley Connor was born in Battersea, Surrey, the son of a Surgeon. Arthur studied at the Royal Academy Schools during in the late 1890's and early 1900's and subsequently worked as a portrait painter. There are 8 paintings by Arthur Bentley Connor in the National Art Collection. On 8 March 2001 a portrait of Arthur Strutt by Arthur Bentley Connor sold for £8,225 at Christie's, London.
