A superb circa 1900-1910 post-impressionist oil on panel portrait of a young gentleman by Dutch artist Arjen Galema, which is likely to be a self-portrait. The sitter is very smartly dressed in white shirt, braces and dark tie as he gazes away from the viewer. A wonderful portrait of the young artist, who was soon to travel to Paris. Signed lower right and presented in a gilt wood frame.
